Adjustable wrench restoration
Adjustable wrench restoration “The Alligator”. Today I restore this Bahco wrench model 31 Volvo edition and turn it into a perfect beautiful hand tool again.
This adjustable wrench is also called “The Alligator” or even “the shark” because of the teeth in the back-end of the wrench’s handle which is for multipurpose use when you are on the road.
This Adjustable wrench is made in Stockholm Sweden for Volvo and came with some of their old car models e.g. Volvo Amazon 122, Volvo 544 and Volvo P1800. My father had a Volvo Amazon 122 when I was little, so this is VERY nostalgist for me to do this restoration.I’m very pleased with the look of my new beautiful adjustable wrench. We found this rusty Volvo wrench in a car trunk on a local junk yard and just had to bring it home to restore it. The rust on this old tool was not that deep, so it was easy to clean it. I did go light with the machinery and used a hand drill with a soft rotary wire wheel brush. I used bigger machinery to remove some scratches from the tools head and finally I painted a gold stripe from the wrench’s head and all the way down to the alligator tail of the tool.

Good I work that everything. But you forget not all people have a perfect tools . You can do that for cheap ways to can anyone restoration.
I'm pretty sure that there things that are being restored are made to look worse than they really are, if they were that rusty, a wire brush wouldn't make them look like new, I may be wrong.
Gotta get the bur off
Watching the rusts disappear is very satisfying . Love it ❤👍
I love the comments as much. Clean an old wrench people think you've discovered penicillin.
Я-бы этот говно под яблоней закопал и новый купил. Дешевле и практичней.
It’s called a shifter
very good 🇮🇶
how do you keep it rust free after restoration? oil it more frequently? since the electro-plating has been sanded away.
Excellent!
Great work as always.
Ok, so what was the solution that you washed it in?
This Revell paint paints better when it's warm. So either I put it on the central heater or in hot water before using it
Who else never knew there was a part you can unscrew when it's stuck?…. Darn!

Are the colored liquid acids?
Did you 'smelled' the WD-40 when he sprayed it? 😃
That table with a swivel! 👌🏽 gotta make just to have!
Pretty cool, nice job.Proably looks and operates better then when it was brand new.😊👍🏻
Yeah was gona say don't use a file 4 that litle passage way u'll damage it, a very small wire brush, if 1 that size exit's, sand paper won't do much.
Saved me a trip to Harbor Freight.
